What is the return policy?
Unless otherwise noted in the item description, all items may be returned within 7 days (of receipt) if they are DOA (Dead on Arrival) ONLY. Due to the low margins we operate under, no other reasons will be accepted for returns.
You will be refunded the total cost of the item plus any sales tax paid as well as the price you paid to have it shipped to you.
You are required to ship the item back at your expense. You may use any carrier you wish, however, please insure the item. If you fail to insure the item and it gets lost in the mail, you will not receive a refund.
Why don't you pay for return shipping?
It is your responsibility to get the item back to us. Much as if we were a retail store, we would not reimburse you for the expense of the fuel you used while driving the item back to our store, we will not pay for the return shipping.
Why are some items listed with no returns allowed? How do I know you aren't intentionally selling me a broken product?
Typically refurbished items will not be allowed for any kind return, including DOA (Though this is not always the case, so please check the item description).
In these cases, the manufacturer provides warranty service for a certain number of days, so you can be assured if you receive a broken product the problem will be addressed.
We do not test refurbished items, though the manufacturer does. The DOA rate on refurbished items and regular items is about the same. The product life-span can also be similar depending on the manufacturer and the product.
As to whether or not we are intentionally selling you a broken product, you'll just have to take our word for it. We're not jerks like that. If we find that a particular product has a high DOA rate, we will cease selling that product or working with that vendor's refurbs.

Can I use my own shipping service?
We'd love to say yes, but unfortunately, the risk of fraud is too great. That's not to say we don't trust you, our buyer, but ... well ... hmm.
If you will be making a large purchase and the shipping cost is too high, please contact us directly and we'll adjust the price for you.

We purchase goods, often in bulk, for sale on the site. We're a Michigan based home business (which means, sorry, we collect and remit to the state of Michigan any sales tax for items shipped in Michigan)

How does all of this shipping stuff work?
We ship DHL, UPS or FedEx Ground (our Magic 8-ball determines which), and occasionally USPS.
We do not ship internationally. We can ship to P.O. Boxes and although it's a pain and requires a trip to the post office, we will ship to APO/FPO addresses (Really, it's the least we can do ... thanks for patronizing our shop, but really ... thanks for serving our country!)
The rates are calculated by weight and buffered since eCrater doesn't allow us to set special rates for folks who are down the street versus folks who are in, say, Southern California.
All of our shipments are insured for the full paid price of the item -- this also adds to the shipping cost, but it is for both of our protection.
We provide tracking numbers for all products sold. Some items may ship from different locations and arrive at different times. We're sorry about that, but we can't store this stuff in the little space that we have.
We generally do not require signature delivery, but for some higher cost items or some addresses we reserve the right to do so.
Why did you reject my order?
There are a few reasons that your order may be rejected:
1) We sold out of the product before the site was updated.
We'll do our best to avoid this problem, but it happens. And when it does, there's often no way for us to get any more. We don't do back orders.
2) You were flagged by Google Checkout.
We use Google Checkout, this ensures that we never see your credit card information, which means we never store it, which means we don't have to worry about keeping your credit card number safe.
On the flipside, we also have no control over or insight into why Google Checkout flagged you. Google is usually good about these things. We don't expect they're running their business like the government runs the "Do Not Fly" list, but at the same time we have no way of telling you why you were flagged...Because of the low margins we're operating under, we cannot afford the risk of shipping to a flagged account.
We're really sorry about that!
How come my order didn't ship today?
Every order has a 3 business day processing time. When possible, we try to do same day shipping. Often this is not possible, but if you order it Monday, we'll have it out the door by no later than Thursday.
Please factor this into your purchasing decision. If you know you need it tomorrow, you might want to visit Amazon.com or a local retailer.

We don't ship internationally.
We also know how that scam works. I don't like doing the laundry and I certainly wouldn't want to have to wash my money.
In all seriousness, though, we don't ship internationally, ever. Not even Canada.
